Parakkat Tharavad

Parakkat is one of the reputed, ancient and aristocratic Nair Tharavads in Palakkad District, Kerala State. This tharavad is at Tattamangalam which is on the western banks of Sokanasini River. Tattamangalam occupies an important place in the cultural map of Kerala. The tharavad having connection with Cochin, Venganad and Kadathanat royal families was affluent in the erstwhile Cochin state and also in the former British Malabar region.
