Parakkat family deity

Family deity Kanchi Kamakshi Amma is our Family Deity. We used to perform Sree Chakra Pooja in a systematic manner to the Sree Chakrem (which is kept inside the sree kovil) on every pournami (full moon) days. Special poojas are also performed to our 5 ancestors 3 female & 2 male members. A ‘kedavilakku’ is also been there inside the machu.

The Kanchi Kamakshi Amma sannidhi has been renovated by the Kanchi Kamakshi Amma Trust as per the instructions given by the famous vaasthu Aacharyan Kanipayyur Krishnan Namboodiripad.

Adimakavu

Uttukulamgara Bhagavathy Temple at Peruvemba and Kallingal Chemitti Bagavathy Temple are our adimakkavu. Andu (yearly)poojas are performed by the trust as per the directions in the Ashtamangala charthu.

Our ancestors used to worship Polpully Sivan temple, Polpully Perumkurusy Bhagavathy temple and Palur Sivan temple at Palathully as our dharma daivam. special aandu poojas are performed by the trust in accordance with the traditional customs and practices.

In addition to this we have a Sarpakavu (veluthanmar), Vigneswara temple and an Ayyappan temple inside the Nalukettu compound where poojas are performed during pournami days.

Renovation work in the Sarpakkavu and Vignesware temple has been completed but renovation at the Ayyappan temple is yet to start.
